Clinician & responder information

ANERITA is a patient‑owned emergency card that displays and speaks time‑critical information at the scene — even without signal.

1) Access

Scan the QR code on the patient’s tag/phone, or tap the widget. The card opens instantly; tap Play to hear the voice summary.

2) What you’ll see

  • Identifiers (name, DOB), allergies, key conditions, medications.
  • ICE contacts (In Case of Emergency) and patient notes.
  • Language/translation aid and triage color indicator selected by the user.
  • Time‑stamped last update.

3) Offline ready

The emergency card is cached on the device. If there’s no network, the screen and voice still work. No login required at scene.

Verification & authenticity

The card is patient‑supplied information. If clinical risk is high or details conflict, verify against secondary sources (wristband labels, medication boxes, GP records, Summary Care Record, EHR, or next‑of‑kin).

  • Last updated: shown on the card.
  • Cross‑check: scan tag + confirm name/DOB with patient or ICE contact when possible.

Privacy, consent & security

  • No trackers. Data is stored on the patient’s device; sharing happens only when they or a guardian present the card.
  • Use for direct care in emergencies under standard consent exceptions where applicable.
  • Do not photograph the card unless local policy allows and it is necessary for care.

ANERITA is an information aid, not a medical record. Clinical judgment remains paramount.

What to document

  • That a patient‑provided emergency card was consulted (ANERITA).
  • Key items used (e.g., “Allergy: penicillin; Meds: warfarin”).
  • Any discrepancies and actions taken.
